Blues is and is over 95% Foundation Bred. Blue Valentine
is on his papers twice. Out of three foal crops we have
no white feet. "Blues" sire produced "Senior
Rodeo World Champion Rope Horse of the Year" in
1993, and in 1998 the "AQHA and PWRA Heel Horse
of the Year."
Blues is proving to be a true asset in our breeding
program. His sire, Azul Caballo Amigo leaves a wonderful
legacy of blue roan horses behind from cowy ranch horses
to world champion title holders; he is sadly missed
by all. Blue's dam Plenty Ambrose is a daughter of Blues
Beard and Ambrose Sue 30. The Hayes family stated in
numerous footnotes in their Come To The Source Sale
Catalog that this mare was the best mare they raised,
a real favorite according to the late Mr. Hayes himself.
U C Davis testing proves Blues is homozygous for roan,
Rn/Rn. He carries 25% Blue Valentine blood, and with
this impeccable pedigree, conformation and intelligence
we feel this young stallion has a wonderful future in
our foundation program. Combining his qualities with
our mares and our Jaybird daughters we are very excited
for our program. Our philosophy is to breed for quality.
Our foals have pretty heads, short backs, big hips,
black feet and good minds all in roan packages.
